cutout placement

cutout placement

I just bought a cutout and all I want to know is where is the best place to put it.

I put mine in the I-pipe facing the passenger side of the car in that little opening under the car. Take a look and you'll see it. People put theirs otherplaces but I think that's the best, for me anyways. You'll love the sound

same here, right before i-pipe goes over axle. only downside to that placement is that you get a lot of noise inside the cabin. doesn't bother me, but may bother some. the other placement i've seen is right before the pipe enters the muffler. most of these are custom made cutouts. with your premade cutout, best is the former mentioned placement.

What I would do, is weld in the cutout in a decent out of the way location, not worry about where the exhuast it going, and fab up a pipe to connect to the end of it so the exhuast goes where you want it. You can put on a turndown so you aren't heating up the cabin.
