LT1 LS1 swap
you'll also need the stock k member from a ls1, i'm pretty sure you'll need all the ls1 accesories too. Since you also need the ls1 trans and pcm too, it's probably cheaper just to sell your car and buy an ls1.
ive heard that the transmission bolt patters are diffrent in the two motors. LT1 has the old style pattern that goes back to 55 and the LS1 has a completely new one. also ive heard that the LS1s intake woudlnt fit under a LT1s hood because of clearance issues. the LT1 car wouldnt have as big or as good of brakes. if your so hell bent on doing an LS1 swap, go out and buy a 98-02 V-6 car and start swaping. it would be easier than what your talking about.
basicly dont even attempt

bolt patterns are only slightly different. but you can still bolt up an old school bellhousing to an LS1.
LS1 WILL fit under the hood of an LT1 car. its the induction piping that wont fit. there is no room to put a lid.
i swapped every single component from a '99 SS into my '93 Z28.
