LSX in my 94 Z71

Look how mint my work truck is. My goal next year is to put a LS1 in this so I get better gas mileage and more power.I want some truck or car pulling next to me and I want to burn them with my 5x8 trailer with a walker on it and I want to see there face. Plus it would be sick seeing burnouts with an old truck.

Truck looks like it came off the dealership. I have the room but will I have a problem with wiring, obd1, and the transmission? How about the mounts? Click on image below. I hate the 350 TBI bad gas mileage and kinda slow but good torque though.

If I'm not mistaken, for starters, you will need:
New K-member
New ECU and wireharness.

Vortec then

Sounds like more then I would rather put a 5.7 Vortec or a 6.0 in it. The vortecs came in that body also.

If you are getting a LS based vortec 5.3 or 6.0, otherwise known as a LM7 and LQ4 respectively, you will have to go throught the same swap issues as with a LS1.

You have no clue what your talking about. Trucks don't have K members.

A truck motor would be a better choice than a LS1 car motor. Although the truck intake is but ugly it makes much better low end tourque.

I personally would look for a pullout 6.0 engine and trans package. It will be a lot of work, but being that the truck is already injected some of what you need is already in place. I would recomend you check out LS1TECH.COM. They have a conversions forum with a wealth of information and knowledge to help you out.
