LS7 cam

Got the LS7 motor in the garage, waitin for the 66 chevelle frame to be done, in the meantime, had a hotcam kit put into the LS7 along with a few other goodies, was wondering if anyone here knew if the stock LS7 cam would fit into a LS1 motor, I dont know that much about cams.

the LS7 stock cam is 15-mm (.591-inch) lift, will this fit? I want to put a cam in the LS1, and since the stock one was taken out of the LS7, I didnt want it to just sit on the shelf and not get any use.

It will fit, but the camshaft position sensor and cam wheel are located at different areas. So it will not work unless you change the front cover, cam sensor, extend the cam sensor wire and swap a and c on the connector.
