LS6 swap
LS6 cam, LS6 intake (I don't think 2000's came w/ that did they?)
There's something else I'm forgetting though I think... bigger heads possibly?
Why spend the money to upgrade to LS6 specs though? Cams tend to be the same price no matter what their specs, so why not just get a bigger cam?

I said in my post I would already have bought the LS6 heads, i figured the intake manifold even though I don't know how much of a difference there is, and I might go with a regular LS6 cam just because I know for sure it'll be easily streetable and reliable but who knows Im sure someone can convince me to buy a more serious cam.
P.S. GrdlockV6 your firebird is going to be badass with your new rims and all those goodies you putting on her, nice ride.

Lol, it's too late, and I've had too many glasses of champaigne
For some odd reason when you said heads, but in my head it registered as pistons
But yeah, about the LS6 cam, it's like 207/217, .525/.525 116LSA (i'm pretty sure that's it's specs). I dunno, I just think if you're gonna spend the money on a cam, you'd enjoy one a tad bigger
I'm not trying to tell you how to spend your $$, just giving a suggestion. If you still want a nice streetable cam, a 220/220 114LSA might suit you. Personally when I get a cam it's gonna be around 224/224 112LSA, lift around .581 or so. 114 will give you a slightly lumpier idle that you should enjoy!
Thanks for the compliments on the ride
I woulda had the damn rims today, they're scheduled to get here today, and when they didn't I was pissed, but then I realized it was a mail holiday, so I guess I can expect em tomorrow!
Good luck on whatever you do w/ your engine though!

Well assuming your head have all the parts such as springs, retainers, roller rockers, pushrods and such you should be set all you need is the cam, intake manifold and custom programming. Which again comes into play that you should probably just but a bigger lift and duration cam the little amount more in money you will spend will pay off in the end, and your going to need programming anyways so might as go all the way. Also while the heads are off the car you might think about hardend push rods, titanium retainers, higher ratio roller rockers. Just cause you already got the heads off might as well make change somethings while your in there. Also where did you buy you heads and how much?
there is a conversion kit here with a list of the things it includes. that should help you.
