LS1 Oil Pan Gasket...

My 2000 Camaro keeps leaking oil and people tell me its the oil pan gasket... is it possible to do it myself and if not about how much would it be to get a mechanic to fix it? Differential gasket needs to be replaced too, thanx!

The oil pangasket on the LS1 motor should never ever leak. It's an aluminum gasket with a rubber sealing ring.
You would have take out all the pan bolts, the 2 lower bellhousing bolts, and loosen the front cover to lower the pan. Then you could use lint free cloths to clean all the surfaces and bolt/torque everything back together. If you want to pull the pan completely then you have to secure the engine from above and lower the K-member.
