Hey everyone,

I currently have a v6 3.8 camaro with a bad engine. I plan on putting an LS1 into it and have plans of purchasing an LS1 out of a GTO. Will I have to change the oil pan to fit the camaro? I've read that this has to be done to corvette engines going into camaros, but not sure about it with a GTO. Also, the ecm will be coming with the engine...the computer can be easily reprogrammed for the camaro too, right?

I believe you will have to change the pan to clear the k-member. The computer doesnt know what kind of car its in, and its irrelevant. The ECU only makes the motor run, it has nothing to do with the body that surrounds it.
