ls1 header swap and tune-up
ls1 header swap and tune-up
just seeing if anyone knows if a ls1 is easier to put headers and run ovc wires on than a 93 lt1. thanks for the info before i say i will begin this project thanks thomas
Re: ls1 header swap and tune-up
um....the only way to run the wires is over the valve cover. each cylinder has a coil, and it's located directly above each plug mounted to the valve cover.
LS1 plug wires are about 12" long.
check out my how to site for header install. i did it by myself, in my driveway, first ever header swap, 10hrs...start to start up.

Re: ls1 header swap and tune-up
did my headers myself too. 14 hrs... In the garage w/ ramps a jack and jackstands.. Mine were a little tighter than teke's. I got my help fom his site. I also have pics ahd tips..
I've heard that the F-body LS1 headers are easier to install compared to the LT1's. You don't have the steering shaft to mess w/, and I think you have a bit more room on the sides of the engine.
