Hmmmm....id guess it had some mods....those cars are pretty heavy aint they.....and with your mods u pull around 330-340 to the wheels right....those are almost what the stock LS2 pull (360s)

i agree....

even a mild cam you should have no problem kicking *** against the ls2.

I'd say a cam and headers should get you the extra ~50+ HP to more than make up the difference between your LS1 and an LS2 . (and since you've already got the headers, then all you need is the cam ).

Re: ls1 boltons vs. ls2

We have some locals with GTOs and one just went to the track with his cammed LS2 and ran 12.17 @ 113+ in some great cold Michigan air. Well back when my car was lid, Loudmouth, and torque converter I ran a 12.15 @110.
So if you got out on him then he reeled you in, he has many mods probably including a cam and or power adder.

Re: ls1 boltons vs. ls2

do all ls2 gto's push around 360rwhp as far as being stock? why do they say it has 400hp to the fly wheel? is that that the same for the corvettes too? also if that is the case, than why do 03/04 cobras usually dyno around 390rwhp when they say it has 390hp.

maybe they do it for the same reason they did in the 60's...lie about the power to keep ins rates down..

dont they have something like that in Japan...a gentlemen's agreement about power .. 276hp... the WRX , Supra ,Skyline, Fairlady ...blah blah...all rated at 276hpgentlemen's agreement

No, most LS2 GTOs are dynoing in the 330's. Mine put down 337/334. I'd say this guy was modded and the thread starter shouldn't have a problem beating a stock ls2 with the mods in his sig.
