which is louder
I'm gonna do true duals in Jan. or Feb (finally) and I want to know the loudness difference.
The exhaust i have now is stock with a 3" Flowtech cutout with the QTEC, followed by a Flowmaster muffler. I love the sound of the cutout!!!
This is the true dual setup I'm going to have.
Jet Hot LTs
stock cats
Hedman or Summit 3" X-pipe
Bullit mufflers with turndowns before the axle. (are there different lengths to these mufflers, and how does it effect the sound????)
The reason I'm keeping the stock cats is:
1. California
2. Parents!
3. Don't have the money for Random Tech Cats (will come later)
So with this setup, which will be louder? My cutout on stock everything (which is pretty loud) .......or.......the true dual setup I listed??
Thanks

I think they have smog provisions, but I don't care. I just want to make sure if a cop pulls me over to see the exhaust, that he sees the Cats, so I don't get a ticket. Around here, as long as there are cats and mufflers, you can be as loud as you want and not get a ticket.
I don't like the raspy soud of the off road pipe (no cats). Same sound if I gut them. With the setup I listed, will that get louder switching from the stock cats to Random Tech cats a few months later?
