little click, big problem

ok hopefully you guys can help, i bought a used 2000 camaro Z28 with about 67000. the previous owner gave me paper work from as early as 2001 from the dealer ship showing all maintenance done on the car. My car runs strong and has power, i noticed this afternoon though, that it makes a clicking sound after it turns on. Now other than that the car starts perfect, first try, everytime its just that it clicks right after it turns on. Another thing is that when i rev it in park, there is a slight rattle sound and i cant hear if its coming from the exhaust or somewhere else, should i be worried, i mean it runs perfect and starts perfect, no check engin light or anything light that, please help!

The sound needs more description and you will do better with that if someone outside the car can help you locate the general area it is coming from.

Does the engine seem smooth when your rev it slowly or are you feeling a slight shake or roughness as you bring the rpm up?

does the click go away after the car sits and warms up?

if so it's probably piston slap....do a search...not a big deal.

as for the rattle...could be something like a bent heatshield on the undercarrage.

thanks, well it only clicks once, after that the car runs perfect and i took it to two mechanics today and they said not to worry about it but there not Camaro experts, so i still worry, and the exhaust, well im having it checked actually as i write this, oh and one mechanic said it might be the starter when it stops spinning, if that helps.
