Re: Lingfelter oil pumps...

Thats what I was thinking, but, I have not heard of anyone having one, which makes me curious as to its performance, seeing as I can get one on the cheap, well, for like $101.00 to my door.

Re: Lingfelter oil pumps...

An oil pump is like a lid. They're all about the same. Some vendors open them up and polish out any casting flash and call them "ported". Katech and some others use a non-stick coating on the pumps to help promote flow.
A bone stock LS1 pump does the job just fine so any improvements from there are fine.

Re: Lingfelter oil pumps...

The pressure relief valve bore in some pumps was rough and the piston would stick in the open position dumping too much oil right back into the pan causing oil starvation.

Re: Lingfelter oil pumps...

I would think not nessisarily. If your plunger never hit the sticking point, then, one cold day does................. bye bye...

A ported pump should be on the list for any mild-agressive cam install anyway
