P0440 is an EVAP code, large leak. Not a fuel pressure issue, first thing to check is the seal on the gas cap.

Visit gearchatter.com and see what the descriptions/diagnostics are for your year.
I thought it was 10yr/70k miles!?!?!?! DAMNIT, I just had my cats gutted and the car re-tuned due to that code -.- Anyway to re-compensate? lol *sigh*

Emissions items like the PCM and catalytic converters are covered under a federal mandated 8 year 80K mile warranty. GM voluntarily extended that warranty for the catalytic converters on the 00-02 LS1 Camaro and Firebird to 10 years 120K miles.

ok I havn't got the car back but I took it to the dealership and at first they said the warrenty ended but i hassled them a little bit and they said oh wait! yea the warrenty is still going. ugh lol ok but anyway. they are replacing the cat., O2 sensor, and the purge valve. I dont know if theres a bill yet or not. I think this will fix everything. I'll post again once i get the car back tomorrow. I would like to say thanks to everyone so far and I come to you guys everytime if I have a problem. your knowledge on these cars amazes me and im learning everyday. thanks

Only the failed catalyst and diagnosis for the catalyst is covered under the warranty. The oxygen sensor and purge valve are not, and you will probably have to pay for those items.

Why are they replacing the oxygen sensor? I assume they tried to replace the catalyst monitor (downstream oxygen sensor) first, at your expense, and when that did not fix it they replaced the converter. IF that is the case that shows an unqualified tech, and a questionable charge to you.
