Exclamation K&N Intake Kit for '02 Z28?

Is this the best induction for this type of car? Should I just get a lid and filter or an intake kit?

I'd just got with a lid and a paper filter. K&N might flow a little bit better but they have to be cleaned quite often, if you oil it too much when cleaning you can cause engine problems, and they cost more. Paper filters are the way to go IMO.

Lid with stock filter and a Super Sucker Ram Air kit.

K&N is a great kit if you can get a good deal on one, but $300 is kinda steep for a replacement, plus you won't pick up that much more over a lid. Money better spent elsewhere.

Question Re: K&N Intake Kit for '02 Z28?

Thanks guys. I will go with a lid. Can I have a lid without a filter? Will this damage the engine? I have seen this before ( whisper lid without filter).

Generally they mean without a K&N or other aftermarket filter but with a stock type paper one. Some run at the track with no filter but I will not chance it.

Where can I get a lid and a SSRA for a decent price? Thanks for your help. I looked at the pricing for the K&N FIPK and it was like $379. Too much. I think.

jeez, any of the vendors that sponsor this site and just about every other vendor will have a lid and the SSRA.
