I have a 99 z28 and i was wondering if you need the gasket that comes with the filter..i had someone put my SLP CAI on and I had ordered this directly to the store so they tossed the filter in for me as well. I went to open my box that they gave me with the Instructions and Stickers in it and I see what they call a gasket. 4000 miles later I am wondering if I need to go put this on my car. If so, does it go on my LID or on the box itself which the filter sits in.. Thanks

 

Mine went in the lid.

 

I put mine on my lid too. If you don't have the gasket just get some of the thin (like 3/8") weather stripping and stick it on there.
