I was wondering if anybody knewe if a k-member from an LS1 will bolt to the fraim rails of a 3rd gen? I posted the same question in the 3rd gen tech board.

 

It will most definetly not.

The motor mounting bolts will probably be different, because of the different motors.

 

Wow, it must really be different if it definetly doesn't fit. What exactly doesn't make it work? Just curious.

 

3rd gen is strut and lower control arm
4th gen is coil over shock with double a-arms

Let's just say for sh*ts and giggles, we have all kinds of time and extra money and we all wanted to put all the front suspension (a-arms, k-member, brakes, etc) from a 4th gen into a 3rd gen just to be cool, could it be done with a welder and a plasma cutter?

 

Of course you could. You can do anything with $$$.
