...it's clear just how much power the 4L60E's suck up!!
I have thought about switching to a t-56 for a while. How hard was it? How much did it cost?

Lets see, TB bypass, free ram air mod, k&n, and the smooth bellows are not going to do a thing for you on a dyno.

Basicly the only performance mods you have are catback and a lid. 310-315 maybe, if its on a dynojet.

Hmmmmmmmm, the thread starter (Nick) dyno'd 321 rwhp with headers on his car. Mine dyno'd 289 rwhp with basically the same "mods" you've got (minus the smooth bellow). You do the math .

My total cost was around ~$3k CDN$ and about ~24hrs labor (I work slow ). Do a search in the drivetrain forum ... lots of guys have done it, and taken much less time. I'm not a mechanic, but I completed everything myself, with a friend's help just for the heavy lifting parts. For me, it was worth it .

the free air mod isnt ram air, its just allowing less restriction and more CFM

Nice try sport!!! But, it is reffered to as the FRA mod or FREE RAM AIR mod. Had you been around more than a few days you may know this.

This name comes from the concept that at highway speed your air dam forces air up in front of the radiator. Not all will go through, and removing the bottom of the lower air box will allow some into your intake tract.

Don't think this happens? Talk to people like me that had the car w/out this mod and after and ask us how dirty the filter will get after compared to before.

Don't think that I don't consider "ram air" as a gimick on most applications. At best, most are a CAI.

You have much to learn grasshooper, back to your bench dynoing and advertised gains. BTW, I read the post where someone told you what you just told me.

(290-292rwhp for the average auto 2002 (300-315manual),cause the movement of the egr and the LS6 manifold, headers, tune ect. GMHPM got exactly a 10 rwhp gain with an SLP lid and kandn, most other lids only added 7-8 with the kandn and only the MTi did more. the catback is good for about 10 rwhp MSD wires, royal purple in diff coolant and engine, smooth bellow, tb bypass, and FRAM are worth about 10rwhp all togethor. a mag got the dyno to show 15hp with just the EGR, FRAm, and tb bypass on a 98 but seems way too high of a number. thats where i got my number, are any of these guestimate numbers off, im going to vette doctors to get it dynoed/tuned soon to know for sure.

thats what it does grasshopper, more CFM, if your disagreeing YOU have alot to learn, and its less restriction if its easier for air to get in (removed plastic), stock it is already ram air(however little it may be), whats with the attitude too ????, advertised gains, im sure nobody believes those.
