Thumbs up Just bought a '99 Z28 with 10,000 Miles!

Well, I've finally gone and done it. The goal of getting rid of the V6 and finding the perfect Z28 is finally fulfilled. For those that are interested, it's black, fully loaded, t-tops, leather, A4 (got kinda tired of the M5 in the V6), etc. Rides/Accelerates like a DREAM! I had an hour drive through a canyon on the way back from the dealer and I couldn't stop flooring it. hehehe. Ah, time to start modding again.

Guess I need to change my nick and sig, too.

EDIT: For those interested in pricing, I got it for $18,990. They only gave me $8,000 for my trade-in (which was above blue book) and I still owed $10,000, so I ended up getting it for about $21,000 after the trade. Not bad IMHO, and MUCH more fun to drive!

I know the feeling... when I had a '97 V6 Camaro, I thought it was pretty quick and completely adequate.... then I drove a V8. What a mistake.

Congrats on your new purchase. You will certainly enjoy it Just take care of it and be prudent with all of that power. I bought my '99 with 13k on it in June and I thought mine had low mileage...

Nice. I got rid of my '90 RS 3.1L with 150,000 miles (and still running great) for the car in my sig. Smiles all around.

Congrats on the purchase!! I went from a 1991 RS with a 305 V8 to a 2001 RS with a V6. I thought that was a power leap, then 6 months later, I traded in the RS for a 2002 Z28... This is the way Camaro's were meant to drive!!

Thanks for the grats, guys. This is my new username, which also happens to be the license plate I'm getting. heh. Of course, there will be many many mods to back it up eventually, but around my town, I can beat pretty much everything bone stock.

I love this car. hehe

Talking

I've always wanted a camaro and after bugging my dad for over a year I finally got one. I got a 2002 Camaro Z28, black, leather, fully loaded. My grandfather is a retired GM technician so we got the GMS discount which saved us around $4500 and we got a $3000 cash back from the manufacturer as a promotional thing. So we got the car brand new for about $21k before tax and license. The car was $28,295 before the rebates. Had it for 2 weeks and already have 700 miles on it and changed the oil with synthetic.
