Interested in YOUR dyno #'s
Interested in YOUR dyno #'s
As the subject says what is your dyno #'s, list of mods and your tranny. I am trying to find out what seems to work best. In my mind the dyno #'s are more informative than !/4 mile times due traction driver error etc... As well as the fact the the dyno gives corrections for the current weather conditions. Thanks in advance!!!
see sig..
what I have come to find:
No point in adding when stock you cant get traction.. so why add power that will not be used.. The name of the game is effeciency..
I am getting tire first..
Then after I have sufficient traction, the usual Lid and Powershot filter combo..
then get dyno #'s and 1/4 times.. see where I am then procede..
But I have clear cut goals.. No need for a 10 sec for me.. Just was back to back 12 sec timeslips..
I have no desire to have the fastest street car.. just want an unassuming quick street car.. If you are running 13.1's and have lid and ram air and a catback but someone with a stock motor and tires is running 13.1's what are you more impressed with? Me, personally, I would be more impressed with the guy that did it on a bone stock motor. That explains my pathway..

I bought my car used with 34k miles this past May. It's a 98 Formula A4.
LS1 Motorsports Lid, K&N filter, 3" Flowtech cutout:
Dyno: 314rwhp, 327rwtq
Track: 13.24@106.45(2.05 60', 2.73s)
Twin intercoolers(making 0 lbs of boost), 3" Flowtech cutout, GM 3.73s:
Track: 12.96@108.34(2.03 60')
I don't have a 100% efficient dyno for the supercharger(see sig, fuel issues), and have chosen to not run the car at the track until I get the fuel issues worked out

I've got a 98 M6 Z28.
I pull 318 rwhp and 333 rwtq with just a lid (paper filter), Dynomouth exhaust, and a couple free mods. (FRA, free thermostat, auto fan switch, TB bypass, and Fernco)
Good luck
Dave
