It a 6 liter LS1.

Combustion chamber is larger and you want that, plus the Denali/Escalade come with the LS6 intake if I'm not mistaken, not the truck intake.

The work you plan on peforming would be for nothing except saving 100lbs and ending up with a less FI friendly motor in the 5.7 LS1, to the tune of around 4-5K for the work.

Just do the motor in the truck, it IS the same thing.

01/02 LS1's get the 6 liter truck cam, most serious FI/N20 guys run 6 liter heads since they are aluminum for 02 and the blocks, accessories, heads, intake, etc are 100 percent interchangable, it really is a LS1.

saying a 6.0 liter is an LS1 is like saying a 305 is a 350 since the parts interchange. LS1 is simply the rpo code for the 5.7 litre gen III engine. LQ4 and LQ9 are the 6.0 litre gen III rpo code's. as for the intake, have you ever seen either one, there is no LS6 style intake on the escalade or denali.

True, but in this case, he'd be taking out the big engine and replacing it with the smaller engine.

If your goal is to make 500 at the motor, then you don't need the blower. You can achieve that N/A.
