installing Electric cutout
installing Electric cutout
hey guys i just wanted to know how difficult it is to install and electric cutout. i already havea cutout on my ws6 and im looking to buy and electric soon. Im pretty dumb when it comes to working on cars so will i be able to instal it. thanks
The install is a breeze. The McCord cutout has 3 wires going to it, and they are all inside of one sheath so you only pull one cable.
My cutout is under the rear passenger seat, up in that little tucked away spot. There is a grommet there that you can cut through and get the wiring into the passenger compartment. After that, it's just a quick run along the trim molding up to the dash and your switch.
I have mine wired to a factory drop-top switch. When I ordered my cutout, I paid an extra $15 for the switch, pre-wired with a relay.
I literally did my install in less than an hour, and that included getting the car up onto jack stands and back down again.

I'm interested in the Mccord (only $105.00)...but I don't see any contact information at all! Does anyone know how to get in touch with them?
