ignition coil pins of death?
ignition coil pins of death?
alright so i changed my spark plugs the other day and on 4 of the ignition coils (either cylinders 1,5,2,6 or 3,7,4,8) there are these little metal pins on them that really cut up my arms when i was doin the passengers side, and also by the way cut into one of my heater hoses a few weeks ago and made it burst, does anyone know what these pins are there for and why they are only on 4 of the coils?
Re: ignition coil pins of death?
That is indeed correct, they're for the Corvette fuel rail covers to snap onto, also to let you know, keep them safe as I have been told told at my local Chevy dealer parts counter pal that you cannot get them thru GM parts new. They are also there to chew the heck out of your arms should you decide to do your own plug change..haha
