Idling Problems after mods...help please

I eliminated my EGR and my AIR systems about two days ago. Started the car up, drove it for 10 mins, no SES light. Turned it off and back on then got the SES light like I was expecting to get.

Well today I went to start my car and it is idling around 500 RPMS and the SES light is OFF!!????

When I rev it up, everything goes fine until it winds down and drops to ~500 rpms. My lights dim, my dash and spedo dim and it sounds like its going to die. What the hell went wrong?

P.S. I also took my valve covers off and polished them up yesterday and the car seemed to be running just fine. FYI just in case it could be something with that.

I'm guessing you disconnected the battery when you removed everything. If you left it disconnected long enough you could have reset the computer causing it to lose the learned program for idle. It usually takes 5-10 min of idling for it to relearn what it needs to do to idle properly. If it is running fine now that is likely what happened. Hope this helps.
