Question IAT sensor question

Why does SLP say the following on their website?
NOT legal for use on pollution controlled motor vehicles.
Does it mean it can/will cause damage to the emission control systems, or is it just that they are covering their own a$$es?

Just want to make sure. I live in an area which has emissions testing, so I ned to keep that stuff working. Don't need any trouble with them...

You must be thinking the adapter thing. It increases timing and claims to give you a couple more horsepower. The change in timing may leave some unburned fuel in the exhaust. Not quite sure though.

Yes, the adapter SLP sells is what I mean.

Just wanted to see if anybody has had any troubles with emissions after putting it on, that's all.

I doubt the hp increase would really be noticeable, but it can't hurt, either. Or can it?

InstallUniversity.com got lots a KR from that module so they lost a bunch of hp. I heard you can get a resister from Radio Shack for buck that will do the same thing. Not sure what Ohm's it should be. Do a search.
