I just bought a 97 that was sent to a place in Sarasota Florida that does aftermarket packages to them. This package is supposed to give a ZO6 all it can handle. It is over 400hp (and I have an extended warranty.mods are done with GM's consent), and everyone I see thinks it is new or only a year or two old. I can not believe how much more attention this thing garners than my '00Z28 did. To the casual observer, the only major difference between 97 and 03 is the wheel options.

I actually wish I had kept the Camaro though...I have even thought about trying to sell the Vette outright. Great car, but it is just too much money right now, and not practical at all. I guess I just fell in love with it.

I would look for a 98. Just because you have a year for that model to sort out any problems the first year models may of had, but I don't know of any specifically for any vette really. They all look the same in my book. Great car. Hardest part is going to be deciding which color.
