Also to think of it, I actually dont have a damn ipipe hahaha. the chambered muffler and cutout basically replaced my ipipe. So if I go with the same set up and just place a moroso or some other twister in place it should fit perfectly if anything a little shorter.

Forget about back pressure. Just totally get the concept that it is good or needed out of your mind! Needing it is BS, what you want is velocity.

No, I wouldn't get a 3.5" just because it would look like junk with a 3" outlet from the Y then going into a 3" cutout. And yes, the twisters are most likely shorter than your chambered stick muffler.

Yes, the stock tubing is 2.75" unless you have the optional SLP dual/dual catback.

Okay, I guess the 3.5" wont be a good idea. I'm just consider getting it because its only $45 shipped. Thanks for the information on the twisters being shorter. Also I have the optional SLP dual/dual catback. Having that, what does that mean hahaha?

.
Regardless of whether backpressure is BS or not, wouldn't that big opening in the exhaust, only to have to squeeze back down to finish the path out be bad for smooth flow?

Oh sh*t wussup Rob. Well I guess I'm going to pass up the 3.5" moroso muffler and wait for a few people that have them up for sale which are the 3" mufflers. If anything I may just buy it new. Someone also offered me a xr-1 borla which I can replace my chambered muffler with it. But I've been doing research and the twisters are more quiet then the xr1's.

Or another option is to buy a magnaflow muffler to replace my stock slp muffler. Place a 3" ipipe with my electric cutout in place. Or keep my stock slp exhaust and put my cutout in the ipipe without the chambered muffler. What do you think Rob?

A cut out is going to sound like *** no matter what with your long tubes, cats or not. Cats might cut down on some of the rasp but it's still going to be super loud. A staight through muffler like the bullets or twister is going to cut it back somewhat, but you won't know how much until you do it. that site I mentioned before has a bunch of clips. You can check out the cut out section and see if someone is running a small muffler pre CO with LTs like you and see if it sounds alright, or if there is no one doing that you can click on the true duals section. There are people there that are running LTs with no cats and bullet type mufflers. It's going to sound a bit cleaner though because most of them run a crossover, but it should give you some idea of the sound level.

Like Kraest mentioned before, at this point with your LTs your cut out alone is pretty much only good for a race, it'll be intolerable trying to cruise with it open.

You're talking about catbacks, and I don't know what it is you're looking for. That SLP DD you have on right now is one of the best flowing on the market. The hp you're going to pick up is going to be small and not worth the money IMO, but if it's a louder sound you're going for then that's a whole nother matter.

I heard that the SLP DDs really wake up soudn wise with a set of LTs on the engine.

It'll decrease velocity and cause some turbulence. Any muffler is a big openining in the exhaust if you want to be technical about it.

hmmmm, thanks. I've got to think about this one now. Either its a magnaflow muffler or just replace my chambered muffler with a twister. Your right about only having a cutout, its not like I can drive it open it'll be way too loud. I'm thinking of just placing a magnaflow muffler in place and have a cutout in the ipipe. I wont know what I'm going to do till the end of the week. Thanks for the help guys!
