yeah, the 01's and up have the ls6 intake manifold. ups whp ~10. you should put down in the area of 300 to 320 stock. so yeah, 310 is a pretty good guess. but don't be to surpirsed if your putting down a little less than that.

lid and exhaust are the most common first mods. cheap and affective. a cam is a real good mod for our cars as well. but as others have said, be real cautious with the 10 bolt rear. if your going to get serious about upping power.... definitely look into a 12 bolt or 9".

Congrats on the new ls1!! I have a dynomouth already set up and welded to fit the loudmouth exhaust if your interested..
