How rare are Firehawks? Are they worth it?
the raptor hood is not a hawk hood.
the hawk hoos has less of a rise than the WS6 hood, and the openings at the front, actually go into the bumper. Clean looking hood.
You do need to send the the old hawk hood to SLP or pay like a $1000 core charge.
So to buy the hood outright, is like $2500, and you need to scalp a vin number from a hawk to do it. (ebay
)

I don't think I have anything else to add. I do have plenty of pictures though! If you want to take a look heres my webshots album.

Websites like this: http://www.hoodscoop.com/production/Firehawk2000.html are nice for determining how rare a particular Firehawk might be. Mine, for example is build # 25 of the 2000 model year, and is one of 13 Pewter convertibles produced in 2000.
There are other color/body combinations that are 1 of 1 for a particular model year as well (1 Sunset Orange Hardtop Formula in 2001, for example).
In the end, get whatever makes you happy.

Last Hawk, that is a extremely nice car you have there..
I have one question about how the Firehawks are rare but how many of the 2002 SS Special 35th Anniversary Camaro's were made ??
I have only seen 1 Firehawk (black) up close and damn that car is just freaking amazing. And I have seen 1 Special Edition SS and that car was amazing as well..
It would be hard for me to choose one over the other but I just like both Firehawks and Special 35th Anniversary Edition SS.. Ws6 has a great look as well but in general I just like the F-body platform..
