How much rwhp can LS1 bottom end handle?

I am kind of curious as too how much rwhp can a stock LS1 bottom end handle? I've seen some ARE and MTI engine packages claiming 430+ rwhp. How will the bottom end stand up to this? How about with a 75 NOS shot on top of that?
(thinking about trading the 95 for a 98+ and starting to plan!!)

Thanks!

If you do everything right, 500rwhp should not be a problem. Over this and you will have reliability issues. Keep in mind, you do not have much room for error, so don't go lean and don't knock.

Yep, bone stock 10.1:1 GM short block on blower and NOS made 647 hp and 50 runs, and looked perfect when we took it apart.

Guys, that is hard to swallow! I've heard from a major player in F-Body performance that anything over 450rwhp and the factory pistons are on borrowed time!! This company builds engines has a chasis dyno and again is a sponser on this board!

those are the same people that say once you break into the 12's with a 10 bolt you're on borrowed time. well, some run well into the 11's with them. still borrowing time but still running.

That car ran 10.30 at Vegas Super Chevy Show last November with a DA of 2,500. If you will pull out your calculator, 647 rwhp at 3,600 lbs. works out a be a bit better than 10.30.

There are a dozen people in Denver who can vouch for those numbers. But then again, that car has been transformed into a 414, low 9-second car with a CI block, YS-trim and wet shot.

BTW, sponsors benefit from having you believe that stock parts must be replaced.

Talking

My stock bottom end took 7 near 500rwhp runs in a row on the dyno without even a hiccup. It will soon be above 550rwhp and I plan to beat it until it explodes. I'll let you know how long it holds up!

Take a little timing out of it and it'll make 700.
