How long does it take to change plugs and wires on a 99?
It depends on how experienced you are, how agile and small your arms are, and whether you have a good set of extensions. Also, having mid or LT headers helps alot too.
With that in mind, a first timer should be able to do all the driver side plugs and the front two passenger plugs in about 30 minutes. Plugs 6 and 8 (two rear on passenger side) are the hardest and will take considerably longer. Some people say you can get to number 8 from the bottom of the car with some extensions, but I prefer to take off the passenger side coil packs and valve cover (that shouldnt take more than 10 minutes to do), and that will GREATLY improve your access to plugs 6 and 8.
Oh, and the stock gapping is .060". This will change depending on how much power you are making, and if you're using nitrous.

The first time 2 days, taking my time. Actaully about 3 hours total time worked.
The next time, 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours.
The very worst part is the back bolt on the coil mounting frame on the passenger side. After you get it off take a Dremmel cutoff wheel and slot out that hole in the frame so the next itme you can just loosen the nut and slide the mount out. Rather than having to remove the nut completely.
I gap mine to .050" works good in both cars. TR 55s and Magnecor wires.
