How to install A/F and Fuel Pressure gauges?

Hey I got in my AFR and FP gauges and am not sure where to tap the connections too.

I got the 4375 Autotmeter AFR guage. The violet wire says to tap into the signal wire comming from the O2 Sensor to the PCM. Two questions; Someone mentioned that you should tap the wire as close to the O2 sensor as possible to get the best/fastest reading. Any truth to this? Also, there are three wires coming off each O2(I looked at the rears and am assuming the fronts look the same way), which wire should I tap into? Or is there a single PCM wire that is better to tap?

I also got the Autometer 4363 Fuel Pressure Gauge. I'm not sure where to mount the sender? It has a schrader valve on the end of it, but the only schrader valve I know of is the one on the front of the driver's side fuel rail. The instructions say specifically NOT to mount this directly to a fuel rail. So how have you guys done it?

Thanks for your help,
Mike

Hey Mike before you start splicing wires and stuff for the A/F ls1motorsports sells an adaptor so you don't have to.

Air fuel gauge is spliced into the Purple wire on the pre-cat O2 sensor. As for fuel pressure i am not sure.

But i have a similar question. Any ideas on how to hook up a water temp gauge. the adapter for the sending unit i recieved from autometer does not fit into the head on the drivers side? Will it possibly fit on the passengers side?

So you have you FP sender directly attached to the fuel rail? No problems with that?
