I recently noticed that I can barely hear the midbass speakers in the sail panels
My car is the same way, actually there is little to no bass. With the additonal amp and bass speakers, it makes the rest all blend in and sound good.

charlene99Z, was it easy to do this?? i know that the bose system is pretty much impossible to work with and add stuff to. does the monsoon system allow you to add amps and subs? i was thinking about getting the stock monsoon, then adding just 1 amp and sub later on for a little extra bass.

thanks again for all the advice!!

I have a good friend with a convertible 94Z with the Bose system. It's not nearly as loud as the Monsoon. Yes, It is very easy to add the amp. Just purchase a PAC-OEM1. This plugs into the back of the monsoon and gives you 2 sets of RCA's. I used one set for my amp, which is mounted in the trunk. The stealth box goes in the driver's wheel well so it does not interfere with TTop storage. I am pretty happy with the setup and it did not cost much since I shop online.

Stealth box $120.00

PAC OEM1 $40

Rockford Fosgate Amp $200

Image Dynamics Sub $110 (awesome sub!)

Installation free

Cables $20

All in all, the best sound for the money! And it's loud!

But now that I blew the speakers in the rear seats from pumping the base, looks like I have to get new ones since now that theyve blown they rattle and sound like total sh*t. So Im gonna have to spend a good couple hundred getting some serious speakers for those rear seats. those after all are the ones that pump the most base and make the stock monsoon sound as good as it does. Might as well get an amp and sub while im at it.

If you want a cheap replacement for your rear seat speakers, I took mine out when I disconnected them. I will be happy to get rid of them for $25.00 shipped if you would rather replace them with stock speakers. I had recently had these replaced under warranty before I removed them so they are still pretty new. They are just collecting dust in my closet. Let me know!
