ABS INOP light stays on all the time. 98 TA

Thumbs down ABS INOP light stays on all the time. 98 TA
I have a friend with a 98 TA and his ABS INOP light stays on, it has been that way for three week he said. He has unplugged the battery and plugged it in. What could be the problem? Thanks for the help.

most likely one of the rear sensors came unplugged..

used to happen all tthe time when we put cars on the dyno at work.. the straps would pull out the connector... etc

It's either disconnected, dirty, or it may just be faulty. They do need to be replaced every so often, at least mine did.
