I need some help. My z28 has a spped limiter of 115mph. I can top out in fourth and thats as far as I can go. Is there any way to take off the limiter without paying $300 for the hypertech. any help would be greatly appriciated.

perhaps if you know of a place that has a unlocked version of ls1edit (not tied to any vin's), and you can sweet talk them in to go in real quick and remove the governer.

 

theres got to be someone around you that has a hypertech and just give them a little dough so you don't have to pay for one just for getting rid of your govenor.

 

you can only use a hypertech on one car at a time just for that reason

anybody know how i can find out if i've got the 115 limitero r the 155?
i'd love to let it rip on the highway but not till i have a radar detector

 

or spend 6 bucks on wire/ switch/ connectors/

all u need to do is make a relay between the pcm speed sensor and the tranny flip the switch trannys mph signal gets cut pcm doenst know ur going above 115, u just cant see ur speed threw ur gauge.

...I always thought these cars were drag limited, I've gotten my camaro to 145 mph but because the damn things too heavy didn't wanna go that much faster.....interesting.....
