Is there any easy way to go about removing my A4 shifter. THere is little room to work with to work with the metal tab. Any tips. Thanks

 

Put the key in, turn to run. Put your foot on the brake and shift the lever into 1st.

 

Do I pull the tab or push?

 

Have the same question: how do you get this **** off ??? What metal tab are you talking about ???

 

There should be a staple behind the shifter.

To remove, just get a flathead screwdriver, and pry it off. Then all you do is pull the shifter off!

How do I remove the emergency brake handle? There is one little screw but it keeps turning.
