Injector Q:

I have a 99,and its got the 26.?lb. injectors. Is it worth it for me to swap some of the 28.8lb. in. Would it help top end? will it help anything? Or create a problem w/ the tuning? or how about swap injectors and a Predater tune. Will it be a benefit?

I daubt it will help you unless you need more fuel for mods or to make your car run more rich. More gas doesn't always =more power as long as your car is runnin a good a/f bigger injectors will do nothing but run at the same speed? as the ones you have now.

IMO, you wont get much better performane from new injectors. The aftermarket ones do have better magnetics and all that good crap, but if you dont need the fuel, why upgrade them? Stock 01 and 02's I believe came with 28.5 lb injectors. If you plan on running boost, then maybe upgrade the fuel system, but you could put that 300-500 bucks into something else, like headers or soemthing thats going to give you a real gain. If you do put in bigger injectors, it shouldnt have a negative affect on tuning or anything. The biggest you can put on I think are 50lb. Cant put on low impedance injectors. hope that helps.

You get NO extra power from adding fuel that you still cant burn

Originally my thought was"Why does the 98,00,01,02 have bigger injectors and mines got the smallest?" based on phantomTA quote Why do they(above years) have bigger injectors if they cant burn the fuel? same engines right?
I acctually wasnt thinking aftermarket but just some off a 01 or 02 OE ,perhaps 98 just to be somewhat equal fuel delivery. But if the 00,01,02 the 98 arent maxing(cant burn) the rate of fuel theres can give yeah I see no reason I guess.
does anybody know what percent the 99s use from thier injector say at 5300rpm WOT,are they close to maxed out?
I guess I just question why are mine smaller and cant help wanting bigger ones like the other years.

your making about 120ish hp less than your 99 injectors can provide for your car..

if you wanna waste your money, just send it to me and ill send you a piece of paper saying your car is faster.

Dont question GM logic, it'll get you nowhere.
When you are making over 420hp at the tire let us know and then we'll talk injector incase you wanna spray the car too...
