Post How do I clear the computer error codes

Well driving to work this morning I got my first SES light. I think I know what it is, but I have to wait till later on today to have autozone scan the computer for me.

After that I want to clear the PCM to see if it was a freak reading or not. How do I clear the codes?

Here you go:

1. Turn key to the "on" position but don't start car
2. Pull the PCM BAT and PCM IGN fuses in engine compartment
3. Wait approximately 5 minutes
4. Turn ignition off
5. Replace fuses
6. Start the car and then make sure the light has gone off

Sweet thanks,

One more little stupid question about that.

After I have removed the fuses can I remove the key, or does it have to be left in the on position while the fuses are out?
