Help! My stupid alarm is auto arming every time i close the door. I've disconnected the sensor in the trunk, and i've also reset the computer by disconnecting the battery. The stupid thing STILL HONKS. 2 honks every time i get out of the car is driving me crazy. Anybody have ideas on how to stop it, other than kicking it, or taking it to the dealership.

 

The manual tells you how to enter programming mode and change this. I would post it in here, but that would mean I would have to go look it up in the manual.

 

I did that...
you take out the radio fuse, switch the key toward you, then hit the car lock/unlock on the door.. it chimes for the number of the security setting... 1 chime, 2 chimes, 3 chimes...
still honks, regardless of the security setting.

 

i'm about ready to pull the alarm out

Thanks for the link, that worked after all. I didnt realize there were 5 settings and you toggle through them with the light switch. thanks again
