High pitched whine

Hey everyone. Just noticed this tonight. When my car is idling, it intermittently makes a high pitched whine sounds kinda like squealing disc brakes. Like this screech......Screech.....Screech. It is like every 10 seconds it is doing it. Checked all fluids, and they all look good. What could be happening? Thanks.

Probably the idler pulley, alternator, PS pomp. Pull the serp. belt and run it for just a short time and see if the problem is still there.

I was thinking it was the pully as well. Don't think it is the alternator. The car will run without the pully? Didn't think it would even start without it. I'll try that. THanks.

Had the same thing happen to me this July. Found my problem when I changed my oil. Found a lot of needle bearings stuck to my drain plug. My #7 intake rocker arm blew one side of its bearings out. Replaced all the rockers with a set of Comps pro magnums and the noise went away.
