Im just like 200 shy of 194k on my SS. I paid $4000 for it last October when it had 188k on it. I drive a hard bargain when I show up with a wad of cash, but the car is also a hard top with cloth, so I used that to my advantage. Ive replaced a few things that needed it due to mileage (axles & bearings) but other than that its just been usual maintenance for what it is, and a few others from the mods.

Most of my mods are in my sig, along with a short vid. It still runs like a champ.

Almost 119k miles on our 1999 SS. Ran a 12.0 @ 115 cam only with teh 10 bolt. Going back looking 11's with a 12 bolt. Its all in how the vehicle is maintained!

Mine was $7k. It's a 2001 Z loaded (with 6spd) with 105k on it (now 106k) I bought it with a bad Trans (need 2nd gear syncros). I could have done a cheap rebuild, but I had it all re-done stronger (it will hold more hp then I'll ever throw at it).

I also had a new clutch put in since the trans was out of the car.

The only "issues" I've had with the car:
1. Power steering leaks.
2. A/C Belt needed to be replaced.

Great car so far.

I think $5,000 for a car that has nearly 300,000 miles is slightly overpriced, Z28 or not

Friend of mine just bout a '98 TransAm with 45k for about $10k. It had a Random Tech cat-back and thats all. Its a 6-speed and its stout! It suprised me for being close to stock but again it was the first LS1 car i had ever rode in! He is the 3rd owner (i think) so i believe he got a good deal on it!!!

I've coming up on 165,000 miles on my '97 Z (mostly highway driven). Transmission was repaired at about 120,000 miles (leaky seal with some minor gear damage), 2 opti's and have had the gasket seals replaced twice. It needs some body work, the accessory power module needs to be replaced and it idles poorly (doesn't stall, just doesn't keep a steady rhythym...still haven't figured that one out).

Just picked up a SWEET '02 Black SS with SLP mods (dual center exhaust) and 33,000 miles for $17k. Little more than I wanted to pay but it was in fantastic shape. I think I'm going to keep driving the Z as my daily beater and bring out the SS for weekend driving.
