Here comes the 511 Cu.i. LSx :-)

Thought you all would get a kick out of this, it's the new LSx Bowtie block from GMPP. We chatted with the engineer about it and the talk deck version of this motor will have a max displacement of 511 Cu.i

Anyhow we shot a whole series of these vids at PRI, but I though you all would get a kick out of this one.

talk=tall. Technology is advancing. I can just imagine the power this motor will be capable of. Now to find a pre-smog car to put it in. I always did like the 1955 Buick Century 2-door. Hmmmm.

Man I'd sure love to have a LSx based 8.3 liter

And the block prices really aren't unreasonable considering what you are buying.

Yea, it is pretty cheap, and looks like one heck ofa foundation for a blower motor.... my only question is, when are we going to see some good heads come out that take advantage of those extra head bolts?

What I would be interested to know is if the Warhawk heads and the GMPP heads have identical bolt patterns when they added the addition fasteners. YOur not exactly spoiled with choice when it comes to space for adding additional fasteners on these blocks. So I have to think they are similar if not the same.

I know ET performance makes a version of their 11 degree head that fits the LSM billet block, and that block has an additional fastener per cylinder.

I thought the GMPP LSX heads that are so cheap flowed over 340 out of the box, unported. If they get close to 400 CFM ported it would make a nice 450 plus cube motor head.

I wouldn't mind that either. Then again, I would love to have any sort of big block variant in my car.

Yep. Stock L92 heads flow 330 - 340 cfm out the box and can be had for $350/pair bare from Scoggin Dickey.

Anyone know how big you can go with the LSX and still use forced induction?

basically as big as you want..

as long as the engine is built for it, and the supercharger or turbo can pump enough air...anything is possible.
