5500 vs 4500?? Right. What about going N/A? Its cheaper. I am thinking you already have your suspension stuff on your car? New rear end...Clutch if you got a stick...I hope you got the money saved for that...Not to be negitave or anything just tryin to inform ya...
ATI all the way...hands down. its not so much that the vortech is bad, its just that the ATI is much better.

Procharger has the intercoolers, but Vortech has the reliability. I've never heard of any of my friends breaking Vortechs. However, several have had their prochargers tossing belts from weak brackets, blowing out seals on their SC units, etc etc.
When they run well, the prochargers are hard to beat though.

If you are going to race you will definately need a clutch.Because it will definately fad fast.A 12 bolt would also be a good investment.Long tube headers and all the boltons are also nessessary.Tuning is also something to worry about.Upgrading your fuel system and engine (to be safe).The list goes on and on.What are you willing to spend?Thats what it comes down to.
