Help!, something's wrong with my SS
Two weeks ago I had an Art Carr 3500 stall converter installed in my car. I ran great for the first few days, and it felt a lot quicker. But now it has been making a strange clicking/shaking noise coming from under the car when I am driving at a very low speed almost at a stop. When I stop at a redlight or stop sign or whatever, just before I come to a complete stop, when the RPM's are below 1000, it just starts to make a rattling noise that shakes the car. If I let go of the brake and just let the car roll by itsself in drive it seems to go a little slower than it used to. Also, my car seems to idle at a lower RPM. stopped at a redlight with the car in drive it is around 600-700 RPM's. But,if I just start my car after not driving it for a few hours it idles at a higher RPM(1000) for a minute or two until drops back down again. Also, when its freshly started and at a higher RPM it doesn't make the noise or shake at all, but as soon as it goes down to 600-700 RPM the noise/shaking starts up again. As soon as I press the peddle to accelerate to noise stops. Can someone please help? I have no clue what could be wrong. Thanks, Jason.
I hope it dosen't have anything to do with the new converter. Check and see If they put back your exhaust right. it could be hitting something only when the engine is torqued to a certin position.
