help me figure out this noise (tranny?)

Okay, a friend of mine has a 99 T/A with A4. Mods are cut-out, flowmaster catback, Volant CAI, B&M tranny cooler, Trans-Go Shift Kit, Vigilante 3000 stall, STB, SLP MAF.

Stall converter was the last mod we did, and ever since then there has been a strange sound coming from the center of the car. Not grinding, but more of a hissing/rubbing sound. We've looked everywhere and can't figure it out. It runs fine, but now he is trying to sell it and it's obviously not supposed to have that noise, so we're trying to fix it.

The noise seems to be dependant on speed, it's not there when the car is idling, however it is present when the car is coasting with the engine turned off and trans in neutral. That led me to believe it had to be somewhere from the flywheel to the rear end. But, when you sit in the car it sounds like it's coming from the center console, near the CD holder.

I have been recently driving the car and also noticed this: if I tap the gas when the car is just idling, but in gear, it makes a creaking noise as the weight transfers towards the back. Tranny mount broken maybe? Would this contribute to the first noise? If replacing the mount is necessary, should he get an aftermarket (stiffer) mount or is the stocker better for cars with a stall?

Thanks,
Josh

Also, we've determined the noise is not from the rear end. Are there any vacuum lines or anything like that that we could've missed when putting tranny back in, that would make that noise? Like the vent tube or something?
