HELP!! Can't figure it out. Thanks.
My LS1 car has 75000 miles. I did a turnup a couple months ago and everthing is fine. (all plugs, filters, etc.). I normally drive the car easy, but I had to show up a sportscar the other day and as I was accelerating hard the engine started to stutter bad like it was running out of gas. It would let me rev it up and then almost die or sometimes die. I was able to limp it home, but she barely ran.
Got home and checked the fuel pressure at the rail and it was 50 to 60 lbs and did not drop off while running except when it was about to die it went down a little. So I am getting plenty of gas, now what else could it be. Motor sounds fine when I rev it up, it just wont stay there and it wants to die. At idle its around 3 rpm and then dies.
is there a know issue that I'm overlooking? Called the dealer and he said it sounded like the distributor, but to me it runs like a fuel problem.
Thanks.

i dont know much about the godly ls1, but i do know you got played by that dealer, like he hung up the phone and prolly fell on the floor laughing
you do not have a distributor, you have 8 individual coils, one for every plug, it could be a clogged fuel filter did you change that in your tune up

It's either a fuel issue or a clogged catalytic converter.
You can test for a bad converter by removing both air injection lines at the exhaust manifolds and driving it. If it drives better and doesn't hit that 3000RPM wall, you have found your problem.

I figured it out
The guy that said check the mass air flow had it. I pulled the slp lid and found out the strip of foam tape that seal it had come loose and had went into the mass air flow sensor. I simply pulled it out, reglued it and reinstall. The car runs great now.
Thanks for your help guys.
