That's not "generally" true on an LS1. The stock heads will support a pretty nasty cam as evidenced by some getting over 400 rwhp from "cam only" combos. 
I didn't mean something that would choke up a SBC, I meant something that would choke up an LS1 with questionable head flow quality.

Those are the numbers they gave me after the first tune, which I was told later was done wrong. They tuned it again and it runs great, but they didn't give me any dyno numbers. Also, it was a mustang dyno.
