What exhaust? Stock intake isn't helping. Slipping trans could waste a lot of power to the wheels.

Yeah, that stock intake is really sucking up some power. What exhaust do you have? That might be hurting a bit too depending on what you've got.

That is really low for that H/C setup. My 98 TA made 300rwhp bone stock untuned with just a lid through an automatic, you should be making a lot more than 330hp.

How restrictive is the LS1 intake vs. the LS6 intake?

On what dyno? Could be possible on a Mustang dyno with retarded timing due to an exhaust leak. Heads ported by whom? The LS1 intake is a big hinderance on a heads/cam setup.

He sent me in a PM from his other post, that they tuned it with an exhaust leak, and thats what it made on the dyno. It now has a chk eng light, and is running poorly.

I suggested that he fix the exh leak, pull the codes and see what they are, and post them here. then if it seems like its got problems, do a comp test and maybe a leakdown to see if the motor's healthy.

After that if he could get some data logs via autotap or whatever (when its running correctly) one of you guys thats a abit more experianced with that could help.

And to post the exhaust setup, and what converter in it. I also asked him if they messed with the shift points when it was tuned. And what type of dyno it was on.

no response back yet.

I'm betting that something is screwed up in the tune. An exhaust leak won't do jack unless it is bad enough to confuse the knock sensor, which it might be if the timing is getting retarded like Kraest said.

The LS1 intake is very restrictive over the LS6. I've seen cars pick up 15rwhp with an LS6 intake swap.

Take it to the track and see what you picked up. Sometimes it is hard to copmpare dyno numbers on an auto.

It will if it's enough to cause the 02 sensor to read lean.. In turn making the computer shoot more fuel in and running way rich.. (My lt1 is doing the samething right now.)

I have an '01 LS1 with texas speed stage II 5.3 heads and the 224 cam and it puts out over 400 HP. I can tell you what I have and maybe you can compare.
LS6 intake and MAF
LS6 ported oil pump
1 5/8" long tube headers, no cats, and spintech mufflers
The bottom end even has around 100K miles

good luck
