headers, catback, lid , and cutouts...
will any/all of these mods increase my fuel economy? just curious. like if i get a lid or headers... i know it will improve air moving through my engine but i'm wondering if it will give me better fuel economy.
Anyone??
Anyone??
as long as you keep your foot out of it you will get better mpg since you are making ur engine more effecient so you don't haftra step down as far to reach the same amount of movement as you did with less power
Kiss your gas dollars goodbye. Theres a price to pay for horse power and its in the milage area. I sure hope you werent too concerned with milage when you bought your ride. The 2 dont mix. Just my .02 cents
milage wasn't a concern when i bought my ride... i just wanted the performance
i was more curious than anything... and do u guys know how hard it is to keep your foot out of it LOL... thanks guys you gave me the info i needed

Most mods will have little to do with gas mileage.
Think of it this way it tales X amount of HP to keep your car going 70 mph and it takes Y amount of fuel to make X amount of HP.
Now to increase MPG then you'll somehow have to make the engine more efficient ie. able to make X amount of HP with less fuel. That's not what most of our mods are aimed at. We're looking for more overall HP. More HP takes more fuel but if driven conservatively then it still takes the same X amount of HP to maintain 70 mph.
