Question Header Preference??

I have a 98 WS6 and was thinking about getting headers for it. Does anyone have a preference of what to go wiht, or what to stay away from. I dont think i want to spend the money on borla. Mainly due to the fact that I have had 3 fbodys in 4 years.
I Want somethign to sound nice, give good performance.

well lets start with the basics...long tubes are a must...if you dont get LT's, dont bother at all. on to brand name...personally, id stay away from SLP for sure...many may argue against that, but run a search on ls1.com and see how many threads you can find about problems with slp headers, then youll see. i personally recommend hookers because of the phenomenal price and the quality thats up there with the best. get them from jet-hot direct and you are set to go. other headers to look at...tts, flp, grotts (if you can find them). just alittle bio on the hookers...go in very easily, ground clearance is not an issue (even on a lowered car), and the y-pipe bangs very little and can be completely resolved easily. good luck on your decision.

Thumbs up

Without question Hooker LTs.
There are very few, if any issues with this header compared to other brands. Doing a search on LS1.com will bring up quality issues with SLP and FLP, and customer service/availability issues with Grotts. TTS recieve praise, but few people have them and they are the most complex to install.
Jet hot has a super price on coated. If you want uncoated, they come cheaper but you have to go through Jegs or Summit to get the best price.
