Which header has better gound clearance KOOKS or FLP??
Both have very good ground clearance.
Kooks are basically the same as mine and I haven't had any clearance problems as of yet (not even with fairly big speed bumps).
The FLPs ground clearance was actually too good (the issue of them banging on the floorboard) but I think they fixed that recently. The new FLPs might not have quite as good ground clearance (compared to the earlier ones) but they shouldn't hit the floorboard anymore...and I'm sure the clearance is still plenty good.

Ok, hear is the deal; I already have the FLP's package but now that I saw the GP at LS1.com for the KOOKS I kinda want those now. My car is lowered w/ Sportlines so I was thinking if KOOKS has the same or better ground clearance than the FLP than i'll buy the KOOKS and sell the FLPS. What do u think I should do?
Should I just stay w/ flp or get the KOOKS? Or am just wasting my time/money thinking about this and go ahead and just keep the FLPS since I have them already? The reason I liked the KOOKs is b/c of the stainless steel and supposely the "best" right now. So the KOOKS have the same or better ground clearance as the FLP right?
Thanks for your reply!

ZIP, I'd say it all depends on how much you can sell the FLPs for.
The Kooks will probably give you a little power over the FLPs but not a lot.
IMHO, with a lowered car, ground clearance is a primary issue...so if you don't have any problems with clearance right now (w/ the FLPs), keep them. You may see a little additional power by switching to the Kooks and you probably won't have to worry about ground clearance either but I just don't think it's worth the hassle (or the money). Personally, I'd want to sell the FLPs first (cash in-hand) before I even ordered the Kooks. Then you're probably going to have to shell out more money...maybe not for the Kooks themselves but at least for the (a) Y-pipe. Unless, you can find someone that's going to pay $1000 or more for used FLPs.
I dunno, it's up to you...I'd probably stick with the FLPs but you can always post your FLPs for sale and see how much you can get for them; then decide what you want to do.
